For the last few weeks my time has been spent moving my existing websites to a new host. Three of the four sites have moved, albeit with some minor tweaks remaining. This means I can start to create content once again, and feature it here on Substack. The three completed sites are:
Visual-Detroit offers analysis and data visualization on both the Detroit and national level, with a focus on a range of social metrics, including health, education, housing, crime, and beyond.
JazzGraphs is where I create music visualizations, largely related to jazz music and musicians
BrewGraphs is focused on craft beer visualizations - breweries, beers, styles, hops, etc.
My Visual-Baseball site will be along shortly - it’s currently in staging and testing mode. As you may have guessed, the focus here is on baseball data and visualizations, primarily Major League Baseball (MLB).
Each of these sites leverage the same tools - Exploratory, Gephi, Flourish, and potentially other tools that can be used in telling a good data story.
I’m excited about sharing some interesting visualizations for your enjoyment. Stay tuned.
